As an Analyst of Supply Chain Execution at AEO, Inc., you will play an important role in supporting the overall supply chain plan and ensuring optimal product flow through AEO’s global supply chain and logistics processes. This includes planning for freight among our overseas and domestic logistics partners, US deconsolidation operations, and US & Canadian Distribution Centers. You will work closely with the Global Supply Chain team and with key cross-functional teams including Merchandising, Planning, and Store Operations to ensure the predictability and reliability of product flow while anticipating roadblocks in order to pro-actively work across these teams to deliver solutions. 


Your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the overall supply chain execution plan including yearly, monthly, and weekly plans; collaborating with the Global Distribution Operations team, the Global Logistics team and within the Supply Chain Strategy, Planning & Execution team to support proper execution against these plans
  • Working in partnership with the Supply Chain Execution team, establishing and communicating prioritization of inbound freight and reserving merchandise to and through the Distribution Centers; ensuring the optimal and uninterrupted flow of merchandise through the supply chain in order to deliver speed, cost and service enhancements 
  • Supporting the overall plan for product flow across the network in order to improve predictability and reliability of freight movement and receipts tracking; fostering and ensuring better alignment of “need by” dates, etc.
  • Providing on-going coordination and communication with the teams that are key stakeholders for freight/inventory deliveries;  driving pro-active upstream planning with AEO’s Merchandise Planning and Production & Sourcing teams and downstream communication to the Global Distribution Operations team
  • Leveraging data and gaining insights through frequent and on-going interaction with planning software/platforms to drive daily business decisions as well as long range planning initiatives 
  • Tracking and reporting merchandise movements for all current and future floorsets; maintaining open communication  between internal AEO teams and third party logistics partners to mitigate and solve potential problems and / or miscommunications  
  • Serving as a central point of contact for merchants, inventory planners, global logistics, and distribution teams; bridging the gap between Supply Chain/DC and Home Office teams in order to proactively problem solve on freight movement topics and gain efficiencies for the Company/customer 
  • Driving the validation process for value-add/special project service requests; specifically, gathering all necessary information for project initiation, confirming the necessity/prioritization of work prior to handing it off to the distribution teams to execute; supporting teams/team members through project completion where needed 
  • Serving as a subject-matter expert and/or consultant on various supply chain projects and delivering training on process improvements to foster strong operational execution; specifically, designing and delivering cross-functional training sessions for existing and/or new hires on various execution topics (for ex., the bi-annual Teammate Training program, reverse logistics, sell-off, specialty PO, etc.) 
  • Monitoring and maintaining the receipts calendar and “start ship” dates for the DC teams; making adjustments as required by business need and apprising Inventory Planners of any issues concerning product movement which may have an impact to stores/customers
  • Working with Merchants and Inventory Planners on any questions that arise regarding exceptions to PO movement in the supply chain
  • Providing ongoing communication with leadership and DC teams that will assist them in their regular workload and special project planning; providing merchandise direction/projections and assistance on various topics that may impact DC labor planning needs 
  • Fostering collaborative relationships with various teams; actively partnering with the appropriate teams to ensure alignment and best-practices cross-sharing where appropriate; striving for good, better, best always 
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned


Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, Finance or related field; advanced degree preferred 
  • 3-5+ years’ experience in Planning, Allocation, Merchandising or Logistics; retailer/Omni-channel preferred 
  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, project management & planning skills; demonstrated ability to read/understand data and make meaningful insights that drive performance 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within and across teams
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
